Privacy overview
Summary for self-hosted deployments. Ask your operator for their official policy.
This page describes common behavior of the Stellae application. Your installation may differ depending on server configuration, enabled modules, and operator practices.
What we collect
Typically: email address, password hash, optional date of birth, chat message history if chat is used, and wallet balance or voucher redemptions if billing is enabled. Server logs may include IP address and timestamps as configured by the host.
How we use information
To authenticate you, render readings tied to your saved birth date, provide chat history within your account, and process wallet or voucher actions when billing is enabled.
Optional AI and third parties
If the operator enables OpenAI (or similar), some prompts and context may be sent to that provider under their terms. If AI is disabled, those requests are not made.
Cookies and sessions
Stellae uses session cookies (and similar mechanisms) to keep you logged in and to store language preference. CSRF protection may use additional session data.
Retention and deletion
Retention depends on the operator’s backups and policies. To request export or deletion of your account data, contact the person or organization that runs this site.
Children
Stellae is not designed for children to use without a parent or guardian. Operators should comply with applicable child-privacy laws in their region.
Security
Reasonable practices include password hashing and HTTPS on production sites. Security also depends on server hardening, updates, and operator choices.
Contact
For questions about this deployment, contact the site operator. Stellae is open-source-style PHP software; it does not provide a central “data controller” unless someone configures it that way.
